The CSV export gets a project's data out as a table – for an analysis in Excel, for your tax advisor, or to hand over to another system. The export always covers the whole project, with all fields.
Where to find it
Open Project settings (gear) → Backup. Next to Back up project now you find the CSV export button.

What you can export
After the click, Aktenplatz asks “What would you like to export?”. Three sets of data are offered:
- Cases – every case in the project, with all its fields.
- Contacts – every contact in the project, with all its fields.
- Events – every event in the project, with all its fields.
Creating and downloading
The export runs in the background, so you can keep working. Once started it appears in the backups list, where you see the kind of job (CSV cases, CSV contacts or CSV events) and its status:
- Queued – the job is waiting to run.
- Running – the file is being built.
- Finished – the ZIP download is ready.
- Failed or Cancelled – the job did not complete; simply start it again.
A running or queued job can be stopped with Stop – it then ends at its next checkpoint.
If you want the complete project rather than individual tables, use the full backup instead.
