You can use Aktenplatz on the go in two ways: as a native app for iPhone, iPad and Android – or straight in the browser on any phone or tablet. Since the August update the entire interface is optimised for touch: the board, cases, PDF viewer, search, calendar and the customer portal all work as smoothly on the go as on the desktop.

Aktenplatz as an app – for iPhone, iPad & Android

The most convenient way to work on the go is our free Aktenplatz app. Compared with the browser it gives you:

  • Its own app icon on your home screen – one tap and Aktenplatz opens full screen, without an address bar.
  • Reliable push notifications for new tasks and messages – even when the app is closed.
  • Always at hand, without opening a browser first – and fully built for touch.

Scan paper with “Aktenplatz Scan”

For scanning on the go there's also our free scanner app Aktenplatz Scan: just photograph paper documents with your phone camera and upload them straight into your cases in Aktenplatz. Digitise receipts, contracts and mail right where they belong – perfect for on-site appointments and the paperless office.

  • Menu (☰): Top left, the menu icon opens navigation between projects, the dashboard and settings.
  • View bar: Just below it, tap to switch between board, table, calendar, mail, storage and contacts.
  • Swipe columns: On the board, swipe sideways between columns (e.g. “To do” and “In progress”). The dots at the bottom show where you are.

Working with cases & tasks

Tap a card to open the case in detail. The view is redesigned for narrow screens: title, priority, storage, team and all fields sit neatly one below another, and the key actions (share, archive, delete …) are large touch buttons at the top.

Use the tabs at the top to jump between the case's details, attachments, notes, team and relations.

PDF viewer on phone & tablet

  • Documents fit the screen width automatically.
  • Pinch to zoom and scroll with one finger.
  • Add and edit annotations and comments right on your tablet.

Search, filters & other views

Search and filters are reworked for small screens, as is the space view. The table and calendar views have been redesigned for mobile so events and lists stay easy to read on the go.

The customer portal on the go

The customer portal is fully usable on mobile too – clients reach the dashboard, documents, shared cases, tasks and messages comfortably from their phone.

Turn on notifications

So new tasks and messages reach you on the go, you can enable browser push notifications in the settings. You'll then be alerted by a desktop or phone notification – even when the Aktenplatz tab is closed. (In the app, push notifications are already built in.)

Prefer the browser? Add it to your home screen

You can also use Aktenplatz without the app, right in your browser. Open Aktenplatz and choose “Add to Home Screen” – you'll get an icon and a full-screen launch as well.
