When you move a file from one tray to another, you have the option to define a rule based on which an action will be triggered, such as sending an Email, highlighting the file, or assigning the file to a user or group, etc.
This function is one of the more complex ones, but the preliminary work opens up many practical possibilities and will soon save you a lot of time.
To do so:
1. In project’s settings page, click Automation from the left pane.
2. Under Automation, specify the following parameters to define a rule.
3. Specify the rule’s title, select a source tray where the rule to be applied, and click Next.
4. Specify the destination tray, specify the trigger delay, and click Next.
For example, suppose you want to move a file from the Marketing to Finance tray. In this scenario, Marketing would be the source tray whereas the Finance would be the destination tray.
The trigger delay lets you specify the delay required to execute the specified task.
5. Specify the action to be taken when the rule executes and click Next. You can select from any of the following actions:
6. Click Save.
The rule creates.
