In your profile settings you can set a password and enable multifactor authentication (MFA) to further protect your account.

1. Open your user profile

Click your account name at the bottom of the left bar to open your user profile. At the very bottom you find the Update Password and Enable MFA buttons.

2. Set a new password

Click Update Password. In the dialog, enter your new password and confirm it with Update Password.

3. Enable multifactor authentication

To set up MFA:

  1. Click Enable MFA. Aktenplatz shows you a QR code.
  2. Open an Authenticator app on your mobile phone and tap the + to add a new entry.
  3. In the app choose “Scan QR code” and scan the QR code from Aktenplatz. Aktenplatz then appears in your Authenticator app.
  4. Enter the number code shown in the app into Aktenplatz to complete activation.

From now on, signing in also requires the current code from your Authenticator app.
